Charlie & The Tropicales Announce New LP "Jump Up"

Renowned New Orleans trombonist Charlie Halloran & his Tropicales return with another sizzling collaboration, this time with 2017 International Sarah Vaughan vocal Jazz competition winner Quiana Lynell

This "couples-skate" version of Willie Nelson's 1961 hit "Funny How Time Slips Away" is taken from Charlie & The Tropicales' upcoming LP "Jump Up" - out August 2 from Nu-Tone

"Jump Up" is a collection of dance music from the mid-century Caribbean" says Halloran. "You would have heard these sounds at the New Orleans Dew Drop Cafe in '58, or a carnival ball at the Hotel Normandie in Port of Spain," Halloran continues, setting the scene. "The agricole is flowing, the band is just getting started & the music goes all night - set your drink on that coaster, partner up, and hit the dance floor!"

Pre-order the yellow marble LP.

The track follows "Ocaso Marino" - released in January 2024 & featuring vocalist Cyrille Aimée

The band will tour the northeast USA the week following the release, including multiple appearances at Hi-Tide Summer Holiday: Asbury Park. Full tour dates are below.
